Unexpected Rhetoric is a show curated from posters created by University of Utah graphic design students addressing the 2016 presidential election. Designers were given the DNC and RNC acceptance speeches as content for data visualization. The gallery space was designed from a neutral point of view, and therefore allowed designers to influence and inform each vier. By doing so the space becomes a place of reflection and decision making. This idea is expanded through interactivity, and the show becomes a poll not only for each candidate, but for the general attitude about the election as well.
